76 of these cattle are calving in a 90 day period ! This video was taken 2 days after their 650 lb calves were weaned off. All the defects in their udders are the most apparent at this stage. We selected only the ones with the very best udders. I avoid the use of the word “perfect” but these are pretty close. They are in the most productive time of their lives and are very likely to raise the best calves of their lives in the upcoming years. No brands other than an occasional year brand. Age verified by a local veterinarian as 5-6 year olds and all calfhood vaccinates.
We can’t be 100% sure but these brood cows are likely to have never missed a calf with very few exceptions. Unsurpassed fertility! Big cows weighing 1275-1350. We don’t know how they have maintained this kind of body condition while raising those big calves. They were on decent native pasture but not lush or irrigated wheat. In fact, a lot of the pasture was starting to go dormant. These cattle have been together all their lives. Bred to an excellent set of Charolais bulls.
